The popular—and free —firework show is a tradition that’s been around for decades. Visitors and residents alike hold many fond memories of sitting in the sand at Waikiki Beach, taking in the dazzling display and kicking off the weekend.
Hula kahiko are presented in traditional attire with traditional, rhythmic instrumentation and accompanied by chanters. Local hālau hula (Schools of Hawaiian dance) share revered repertoire from the 1800s and before.

Hula is the art of Hawaiian dance. Come learn basic hand gestures and footwork as you learn to use your body to tell story. Recommended for ages 10 and older.

As the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean, torchbearers dressed in traditional Hawaiian attire light the torches along the beach, creating a mesmerizing ambiance. The ceremony is accompanied by traditional song and dance, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere.
